About Pius XI
Founded in 1929 by the Pallottine Fathers and
supported by the School Sisters of St. Francis, Pius XI High School has offered
a values-based education of extraordinary breadth and quality that is grounded
in the traditions of those founding orders.
Today, Milwaukee’s
leading co-educational Catholic high school, Pius XI serves a student body of
nearly 1,000 students. The comprehensive
education program provides students with more than 100 course offerings that
include a full spectrum of college preparatory and Advanced Placement courses;
a nationally recognized four-year Fine Arts curriculum with a full range of
Performing and Visual Arts; a four-year Engineering program; and a Special
Studies program with certified teachers for students with learning
disabilities. Pius XI offers 23
athletics and more than 30 co-curricular activities.
