2025 XI Impact Award Honoree
The Most Reverend Jerome Listecki
Archbishop Emeritus
Pius XI is proud to honor Archbishop Emeritus Jerome Listecki with the XI Impact Award in recognition of his extraordinary 15-year tenure as the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Throughout his leadership, Archbishop Listecki has been a steadfast advocate for Catholic education in Southeastern Wisconsin, strengthening the foundation of Catholic schools and fostering a commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth.
Archbishop Listecki’s support has been invaluable to Pius XI Catholic High School, especially in sharing the Word of God with students. One of the most cherished traditions he has fostered over the years is his annual visit to the Pius XI Field House to preside over Ash Wednesday Mass, providing students with meaningful spiritual connections and fond memories.
“Archbishop Listecki’s commitment to promoting the values of our Catholic faith through our classrooms and school communities has been profound,” commented Pius XI President Jack Herbert."He’s left an indelible mark on Pius XI and countless other Catholic institutions in the area. We’re grateful for his steadfast leadership and look forward to honoring him with the XI Impact Award in April.”
We are grateful for his leadership and dedication to nurturing the next generation of Catholic leaders. We are honored to present Archbishop Listecki with the XI Impact Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions to Catholic education. The award will be presented during the program on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at the Italian Community Center, where Pius XI President Jack Herbert and Board Vice Chair and Auction Co-Chair Joan Shafer will present him with this honor. We look forward to celebrating his lasting impact on Catholic education with our community.
The XI Impact Award was established to recognize individuals and families who exemplify an extraordinary commitment to the advancement of Catholic education and support the mission of Pius XI Catholic High School. The Award celebrates the leadership, compassion, and service that honorees have displayed as they’ve made their undeniable mark on our community.
