Building tomorrow's champions today, the Jr Popes Basketball Program serves as a vital pipeline for Pius XI Catholic High School's storied basketball tradition. Under the leadership of Program Director Rich Wood and Varsity Coach Jesse Stewart, this developmental program focuses on teaching fundamental basketball skills while instilling the values and spirit that define Pius XI athletics.

Our program features dedicated teams at the 5th/6th and 7th/8th grade levels, providing young athletes with structured coaching and competitive playing opportunities. Beyond developing basketball skills, we emphasize academic excellence, sportsmanship, and character development - core values that have helped establish Pius XI's reputation for athletic and academic achievement. The Jr Popes program is designed to prepare young athletes for success both on and off the court, while creating a foundation for their potential future as Pius XI Popes.
