Pius XI Catholic High School is excited to announce that the Most Reverend Jerome Listecki has been named the recipient of the 2025 XI Impact Award. A ceremony and presentation of the award will take place during the Pius XI Annual Auction Celebration to be held on April 10, 2025 at the Italian Community Center.
Pius XI is proud to honor Archbishop Emeritus Jerome Listecki with the XI Impact Award in recognition of his extraordinary 15-year tenure as the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Throughout his leadership, Archbishop Listecki has been a steadfast advocate for Catholic education in Southeastern Wisconsin, strengthening the foundation of Catholic schools and fostering a commitment to academic excellence and spiritual growth.
Archbishop Listecki’s support has been invaluable to Pius XI Catholic High School, especially in sharing the Word of God with students. One of the most cherished traditions he has fostered over the years is his annual visit to the Pius XI Field House to preside over Ash Wednesday Mass, providing students with meaningful spiritual connections and fond memories.
“Archbishop Listecki’s commitment to promoting the values of our Catholic faith through our classrooms and school communities has been profound,” commented Pius XI President Jack Herbert. “He’s left an indelible mark on Pius XI and countless other Catholic institutions in the area. We’re grateful for his steadfast leadership and look forward to honoring him with the XI Impact Award in April.”
The XI Impact Award was established to recognize individuals and families who exemplify an extraordinary commitment to the advancement of Catholic education and support the mission of Pius XI Catholic High School. The Award celebrates the leadership, compassion, and service that honorees have displayed as they’ve made their undeniable mark on our community. Past Award honorees include Pat Frederick ‘67 for her instrumental, decades-long role in building our nationally-recognized Visual Arts Program and The Raymonds Family for their commitment to making a Pius XI education affordable and accessible through the Hank and Linda Raymonds Endowed Scholarships. In addition, Pius XI has presented the following awards at past auctions: Dr. Kathleen Cepelka with the Keeping the Faith Award; Mike Stefaniak ‘81 with the Spark Creativity Award; Judge Audrey Skwierawski '85 with the Take A Stand Award; and the 2019-20 Faculty with the Firekeepers Award.
The presentation of the XI Impact Award to Archbishop Listecki will occur on the evening of Thursday, April 10, 2025 at the Annual Auction Celebration Event.
